I wish I can eat food in my area. I leave in Las Vegas, any suggestions? Thank you

An eye-opener! I thought I eat local but after hearing this, I was only a super rookie! I never paid attention to condiments and wheat! Good show!

What a great idea the 100-mile challenge is. Without pre-packaged foods, I am sure that is why the participants lost weight!

It would be interesting to have a similar challenge among my family and friends-hmm

Tracey, I have heard of people doing 100-mile parties. Or at least get together with friends and do a few dishes that are true 100-mile. Now that sounds fun huh?

How inspiring! I'm looking for farmstands tomorrow. How nice it would be to view food as an adventure instead of a chore!

Danielle, there's a farmer's market in Las Vegas. http://www.lasvegasfarmersmarket.com/

The reason we don't have the 100 mile radius is because our so call government is taking our food supply overseas and cutting out the farmers here in america. Back in the 1900s about 75 percent of the people in america were farmers> Today I bet its below 20 percent. The government is the problem. We would have better food today. Go to Sparkpeople.com and check out this great web site and get into better eating. Again the government is the problem. The government is taking away our rights. It is just not the food but health care and other things.
